What a Difference a Day Makes

Ah, Saturday. A day of no work, a day of relaxation, a day of… Costco and boyfriends and hot dogs and lumpia and chocolate. UGH. I may have single-handedly blown my Weigh-in tomorrow with one Saturday of Abandon.

What’s funny, is I should be beating the hell out of myself right now. “You said you were going to commit! You said you were going workout like a crazy person and become Super Dieter™! YOU SUCK!” But you know… it’s weird; I’m not wallowing in it. It sucks that I had a set-back, but today is a new day. I’m trying to look at the bright side.

Yes, I had a hot dog, but at least I shared it with my boyfriend. Yes, I had some lumpia (Filipino egg rolls), but only had a few, I baked them, they were loaded with chicken and veggies and I made them a meal. I had chocolate, but it was sugar-free, low-carb and I’m being punished for it sufficiently with enough gas to solve our energy crisis. Learned that lesson.

I may have blown my weigh-in tomorrow, but I feel better about this process than I did last week. Of course, my next week, the PMS will be starting and then I’ll bitch for two weeks until I get to this point again. Cue Elton John, it’s the Circle of Life.

I worked out well this week. I do need to eat more, more often and better, but aside from yesterday, it’s been really good. And dammit, fart-inducing chocolate is why god made Flex Points.
